Traffic.com Announces Multi-Year Contract Renewal with Emmis Communications

Aggreement provides cross-platform traffic content solutions for Emmis radio stations in seven U.S. markets

Wayne, PA—Traffic.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:TRFC - News), a leading provider of accurate, real-time traffic information in the United States, today announced a multi-year contract renewal with Emmis Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:EMMS - News), a diversified media firm with radio broadcasting, television broadcasting, and magazine publishing operations.

Under the terms of this renewal, Traffic.com will provide a diverse suite of content and operational solutions to Emmis radio stations in seven U.S. markets: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix, St. Louis, Indianapolis, and Austin. In return, Traffic.com receives the right to sell a specified amount of cross-platform advertising, through on-air, online and on-the-go distribution channels, to national, regional, and local advertisers.

Through this agreement, Emmis stations have the opportunity to take advantage of a span of Traffic.com services including:

  • TrafficOne™ - Co-branded traffic information Web sites, residing directly on Emmis stations' Web pages
  • Personalized Consumer Services - By visiting stations' traffic links, listeners can customize and save personal drives and receive alerts via e-mail, PDA or phone free of charge
  • Traffic Pulse® Broadcaster - Advanced, Internet-delivered traffic information system which allows on-air talent to access real-time traffic data • On-Air Talent - Local or remote on-air talent provided by Traffic.com for Emmis stations' traffic broadcasts
  • Multiple Data Sources - Including digital roadside sensors, local operations centers in Emmis markets, police scanners, emergency response communications, and aircraft
